A Co-written Blog

The rain has just stopped outside an all-night diner in the middle of downtown Manhattan. A man in a trench coat opens the door for a blond dame in a red dress. They go to neighboring booths and pull out their laptops…

BILL
Sure, I can blog, if it isn’t too late in the night…

KELLY
So . . . you and me?

BILL
…co-BLOG?

KELLY
(pulls Bill into dark alley)

BILL
(pulls out remote with one giant red button)

KELLY
(swoons at muscles)

BILL
(flexes)

KELLY
(realizes she was swooning at unflexed muscles and then double-take-swoons at flexed muscles)

BILL
…Hold on, dame, I actually have an idea of how to co-blog…
(offers a cigarette)

KELLY
(accepts it and puts into long obnoxious cigarette holder thing that she assumes is sexy)

BILL
Wait!
(realizes she didn’t wait and slaps cigarette and corny holder from the 20’s out of her hand)

KELLY
(blushes, apologizes, coughs, waits)
Forgive me, Mr. Worley!
[said with new cat purring sound on ‘r’s]

BILL
(pushes the red button while staring longingly into her eyes)
…check out your inbox. You’ve got mail.
(points)

KELLY
(wonders how he has managed to point to her inbox and her heart)

VOICEOVER
(as camera pulls away)
Kelly would never know how Bill had managed to e-mail her the link to the Automatic Improv blog.  She could only assume it was some new kind of magic.
That thing you and I call “love”.
